“We work intensively with Azerbaijan for preventing violence against women and increasing awareness in this field,” Peter Michalko, head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan told APA.
According to the diplomat, Istanbul Convention regarding the gender equality and limiting violence cases against women is an important document.
“Istanbul Convention is the standard of standards.”
The diplomat stressed that the EU cooperates very close to Azerbaijan in connection with the elimination of violence against women.
