Ambassador: Italian-Azerbaijani relations develop in every sphere

Italian Wines-Taste the Passion event was held in Baku, APA reports.

The event was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Azerbaijan Claudio Taffuri, Director of the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) Andrea Maccanico, and other officials.

Delivering a speech at the event the ambassador Taffuri noted that there are such close and warm relations between Azerbaijan and Italy that no additional words are needed.

“Deep historical ties, socio-economic and cultural relations connect our people to each other. Italian cuisine and the wine industry are very profound. It's kind of the Italian way of life. As a result of Italy's intermingling with neighboring countries, each nation has contributed to our culture. As an elementary point, let me mention that there are 147 types of preparation methods of food called pasta in our country. We see the development of relations with Azerbaijan in every field day by day, which makes us very happy,” he said.
