"There is no need to transfer the geopolitical rivalry between other countries to the South Caucasus region," said Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan-Head of the Department of Foreign Policy Affairs of the Presidential Administration, at a briefing for the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, APA reports.
He said that the South Caucasus has already suffered from conflicts for a long time: "Armenia should not be a tool for the implementation of such policies in our region. Unfortunately, in some cases, Armenia seems intent on renewing such functions."
