Armenia's Prosecutor General says extradition of captured Azerbaijani servicemen is not considered

"The extradition of Azerbaijani soldiers is not considered until the pre-trial stage and is not considered by law," Prosecutor General of the Armenia, Anna Vardapetyan said while speaking about the two captured Azerbaijani servicemen, APA reports citing Sputnik Armenia.

In response to the question about the future possible extradition of the Azerbaijani servicemen, she said that this is not within her authority.

Note that soldiers of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Babirov Agshin Gabil (born in 2004) and Akhundov Huseyn Ahliman (born in 2003) went missing due to limited visibility because of the poor weather conditions in the border area of Shahbuz district of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic with Armenia were captured by Armenia in last month. Agshin Babirov and Huseyn Akhundov are accused of "illegally crossing the state border of Armenia and carrying firearms and ammunition in advance with a group of people, they were detained.

At the same time, another criminal case was opened against Azerbaijani soldier Huseyn Akhundov, who was held captive in Armenia. According to the General Prosecutor's Office of Armenia, he is accused of "murdering the guard of Zangazur copper-molybdenum combine".
