Assistant to Azerbaijani President Hikmet Hajiyev met with Israeli and British ambassadors-UPDATED

Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Fergus Auld met with assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, Hikmet Hajiyev, APA reports citing the ambassador's Twitter account.

"Important meeting with Presidential Advisor Hikmet Hajiyev. I offered the British Government’s condolences for the death of the security manager at the Azerbaijani Embassy in Iran. We also discussed important regional security and humanitarian issues," said the ambassador.

Ambassador of Israel to Azerbaijan, George Deek, met with Hikmet Hajiyev, assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, APA reports citing the ambassador's Twitter account.

"I had an important meeting with Hikmet Hajiyev today. I expressed my condolences over the terror attack against the Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran and reiterated that we stand in solidarity with the people of Azerbaijan," the post reads.
