Azerbaijan and Iran discussed issue of extradition of convicts

Azerbaijan's ambassador Ali Alizade has met with Minister of Justice of Islamic Republic of Iran Amin Hossein Rahimi, Azerbaijani Embassy in Iran told APA.

Special importance given by the Azerbaijani and Iranian heads of states has been mentioned, and further development of the cooperation of both countries as a friendly and close neighboring country within the framework of the bilateral and international organizations has been noted in the meeting.

Alongside this, in the meeting, the parties have talked about the works done in the field of court and justice, about the fruitful relations existing between the Ministries of Justice of the two countries, and projects implemented on the improvement of the penitentiary system in both countries.

Views have been exchanged on the expansion of interaction between the judicial authorities of the two countries, further increment of efforts to resolve legal issues, as well as the extradition of convicts, the continuation of visits and meetings, legal assistance, and on the other issues.
