"You noted it right that this format was planned for the end of previous year, however for reasons beyond the control of the participants of the current meeting, that meeting did not take place. We highly appreciate the organization of the current meeting and the dynamics observed in the negotiation process between Azerbaijan and Armenia - the close contact that took place in May," said Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov at protocol of his meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, APA reports.
"I believe that today we will have an opportunity to discuss a number of issues related to the normalization of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations in the post-conflict period, as well as Azerbaijan-Russia bilateral relations. You talked about the dynamics observed in the contacts, and I especially want to note that at the time of our meeting, an expanded delegation of about 80 people led by Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev attends Russia— Islamic World in Kazan," minister stressed.
