"The signed declaration opened new horizons for mutual cooperation between our countries in investment, trade, logistics, economy, media, agriculture, transport, culture, education, and many other fields," said the Ambassador of Kazakhstan, Serjan Abdikarimov, at a press conference today, APA reports.

He noted that during the visit of President Kasim-Jomart Tokayev to Azerbaijan, more than 20 documents were signed between the two countries, along with the declaration.

"As for cooperation in the economic field, our goal is to increase the inter-country trade turnover to 1 billion dollars in the near future. During the meeting, the sides held productive, productive dialogues to expand product delivery mutually and service provision and discussed ways of finding new directions for cooperation. Currently, we are working on a new project for cooperation. We have high hopes for the activity of trading houses, the work carried out by the Inter-Country Commission, as well as the establishment of the Cooperation Council. I would like to mention that the first meeting of this Council was held during the visit in August with the participation of 24 companies from our side and 35 from Azerbaijan. During the meeting, the issues of increasing the transmission volume of the Trans-Caspian Corridor, laying a fiber-optic cable along the bottom of the Caspian Sea (Digital Silk Road), and diversifying Kazakhstan's oil exports were also discussed.
