Azerbaijani Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Costa Rica Mammad Talibov attended the inauguration ceremony of newly elected President of Costa Rica Rodrigo Chavez Robles, the embassy told APA.

During a meeting with the heads of diplomatic missions accredited and represented at the event in the capital San Jose, Talibov met with Costa Rican President Rodrigo Chavez Robles to congratulate the people of Costa Rica on this historic day. conveyed his greetings.

Expressing gratitude, the President of Costa Rica asked to convey his deep respect and best wishes to President Ilham Aliyev.

President Chavez said the Costa Rican government was interested in further strengthening the existing cooperation between Azerbaijan and Costa Rica.

Costa Rica's new Minister of Foreign Affairs and Religion Arnoldo Andre Tinoko and Mammad Talibov, who attended the ceremony, discussed prospects for cooperation between the two countries in various fields. During a conversation with the President of the Congress of Costa Rica Rodrigo Arias Sanchez, the importance of inter-parliamentary relations between the two countries was stressed.

Also, during the conversation between the President of the Republic of Colombia Ivan Duke and the President of the Republic of Panama Laurentino Cortizo, and Ambassador Mammad Talibov, the greetings of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev were conveyed and views on future prospects of bilateral relations were exchanged.
