Authorized Conference of Council of the International Telecommunication Union is being held in Bucharest on September 26-October 14, the press service department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA.
On October 3, 2022, within the framework of the conference elections for membership of the ITU Council for 2023-2026, and membership of the ITU Radio Regulatory Committee for 2023-2026 were held.
“According to the results of the elections held in fairly competitive conditions, the Republic of Azerbaijan was elected to ITU Council with very high indicators- 154 votes, the employee of Digital Development and Transport Ministry Sahiba Hasanova was elected to the membership of ITU Radio Regulatory Committee.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan expresses its gratitude to all countries that supported both candidacies,” it was noted.
