Azerbaijan MFA: Bayramov and Mirzoyan will discuss peace agreement-UPDATED

Foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia are scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting on October 2, 2022, in Geneva, APA reports citing the Foreign Ministry.

"As it is known, under the agreement of the leaders of the two states held in Brussels on August 3, this year, proposals were made by Azerbaijan side for a meeting of foreign ministers to conduct negotiations on a peace treaty. In this regard, we would like to inform you that the Foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia are scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting on October 2, 2022, in Geneva," the information reads.

"Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan will meet in Geneva, Switzerland on October 2," Press secretary of Armenian Foreign Ministry Vahan Hunanyan wrote on Twitter, APA reports.

According to him, the meeting will be held on Sunday - October 2.

Note that two FMs met on September 20 in New York at the initiative of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken. At that meeting, the US side put forward a suggestion for organization of meeting of the Ministers once again in the coming days.
