"On January 27, around 08:30, an armed attack on the embassy of Azerbaijan in Iran was committed," said Khalaf Khalafov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in an interview with journalists, APA reports.
Khalaf Khalafov said that this incident was unexpected for us:
"Because it is impossible for such incidents to happen, it is generally unacceptable. According to the relevant articles of the Vienna Convention, the country hosting the embassy is responsible for security. Iran is responsible as a state for the terrorist attack and its serious consequences."
