“The Armenian side took the line of political manipulations in the issue of humanitarian cargo delivery,” Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov told a joint briefing with Belgian counterpart Hadja Lahbib in Baku, APA reports.
“Restrictions deliberately implemented by international humanitarian organizations - first of all, I mean the International Committee of the Red Cross - blocking and opposing the Aghdam-Khankandi road legitimately proposed by Azerbaijan, placing concrete slabs on the roads are completely unacceptable. This is contrary to the norms and principles of international law,” the minister added.
Jeyhun Bayramov said that, he and his Belgian counterpart also discussed the Armenian side's political manipulations and politicization of the issue on various international platforms: “I brought some details in this direction to minister’s attention. We also had a conversation about the views expressed by many member countries during the recent discussions in the UN Security Council. The politicization of humanitarian aid is unacceptable. If a party wants to accept humanitarian aid only through one road refusing other roads, this means the politicization of humanitarian aid. Also, most countries welcomed the possibility of using Azerbaijan's Aghdam-Khankandi road.
