Azerbaijani FM: Armenia's provocative actions demonstrate a lack of goodwill in peace negotiations

The establishment of the pseudo "presidential elections" within the illegally created regime, as a pretext resulting from Armenia's occupation of Azerbaijani territory, was yet another extremely provocative and disruptive action. With these steps, Armenia openly demonstrated its intention to undermine its previous statements regarding the recognition of Azerbaijan's sovereignty and territorial integrity. This underscores Armenia's lack of genuine willingness to engage in peace negotiations, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov said in his speech at the meeting of the UN Security Council, APA reports.

The minister stated that Armenia's deliberate efforts to undermine peace, coupled with the orchestrated campaign of disinformation on a global scale using fabricated allegations of a pseudo "blockade" and "humanitarian crisis" against Azerbaijan, were happening concurrently. On September 18, 2023, the nature of Armenia's disinformation campaign was exposed with the implementation of Azerbaijan's proposal to deliver humanitarian aid to meet the needs of the Armenian-origin residents in the Karabakh region through several routes. This action demonstrated the bankruptcy of Armenia's disinformation campaign.
