Azerbaijani FM discusses implementation of the trilateral statements with Putin

Within the framework of bilateral consultations on Caspian issues between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation, on April 28, 2022, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov received a delegation led by Mikhail Ivanovich Petrakov, Special Envoy of the President of the Russian Federation for Delimitation and Demarcation of State Borders of the CIS member states, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Head of the Russian Delegation to the High-Level Working Group on the Caspian Sea, APA reports citing the Foreign Ministry.

Prior to the meeting, bilateral consultations were held between the delegation led by the Special Envoy of the President of Russia Mikhail Petrakov and the delegation led by the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for border and the Caspian Sea issues Khalaf Khalafov.

An exchange of views has been conducted around agreement projects on issues regarding implementation of the Convention on the legal status of the Caspian Sea, preparation for the next Caspian Summit, aerial cooperation issues among Caspian-littoral states, which are at the level of agreement, during the consultations.

During the meeting with Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, issues regarding implementation of trilateral statements of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, and President of the Russian Federation, including cooperation on Caspian issues, as well as delimitation, and opening of communications have been discussed.

At the same time, an exchange of views has been conducted on the issues covering a broad spectrum of bilateral agenda.
