"During the visit, I had the honor of meeting with President Ilham Aliyev in person," said Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov at a joint press conference with Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ilia Darchiashvili, APA reports.
The Minister has noted that Baku and Tbilisi recognize the territorial integrity of each other. "We support the territorial integrity of each other".
The minister noted that meeting with President has great importance: "President Ilham Aliyev has a special role in further strengthening Azerbaijan-Georgia friendship. Our cooperation will be further strengthened for the welfare of our countries. At the meeting with my colleague, we paid special attention to the development of bilateral relations for the sustainable development of our region. We highly evaluate the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars and other projects of international importance. These projects increase the attractiveness of our countries. Trade relations between the two countries are at the highest level".
Darchiashvilii noted that peace talks must be continued between the countries for the development of the region: "We want to continue the projects in order to achieve peace in the region. With our joint efforts, we can overcome all difficulties. The meetings held during the visit will attach great importance to the strategic partnership between our countries. Georgia is ready to help to establish peace. This does not contradict other platforms".
