A phone conversation was held between Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Israel's newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs Eli Cohen, MFA told APA.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov congratulated his colleague on being appointed to this high position and wished him success in his work.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed the Israeli FM about the situation in the region.

Israel's Minister of Foreign Affairs Eli Cohen invited Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov to his country, Israel's Minister of Foreign Affairs wrote on his Twitter page, APA reports.
"We are strengthening ties with Azerbaijan! I spoke today with the Azeri foreign minister Jeyhun Bayramov, who congratulated me on taking office.
I invited the minister for a visit, on the occasion of the opening of the Azerbaijani embassy in Israel and we agreed to continue strengthening relations and expanding cooperation between the countries," he noted.
