Azerbaijani FM informs his Canadian counterpart about Armenian armed forces' provocations

On September 17, 2022, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov held a phone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada, Melanie Joly, Azerbaijani MFA told APA.

Jeyhun Bayramov informed about the large-scale provocations carried out by the Armenian armed forces in the border regions between the two countries and expressed the significant worry of the Azerbaijani side about the situation to the other side. It was stressed that Armenia's deliberate provocations and barriers to the normalization process are serial in character, and the most recent provocations resulted in the deaths of 79 of our military personnel.

Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Joly expressed her concern about the tension in the region and expressed the importance of observing the ceasefire. She stressed that it is important to ensure stability and continue the process of normalization between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Demining activities' significance was emphasized.
