Azerbaijani FM noted to Greek FM that Armenia causes difficulties in normalization process

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Nikos Dendias, within the framework of his participation in the 29th meeting of the OSCE Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA.

In the meeting, views were exchanged on a number of issues on the agenda of bilateral cooperation, relations in political, economic, trade, energy, humanitarian and other fields, including cooperation within the framework of international organizations.

The importance of the contacts recently increasing between Azerbaijan and Greece, especially the meeting of the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev with the Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis within the framework of the Gas Interconnector Greece–Bulgaria on October 1 of the current year, was mentioned.

Azerbaijani FM Jeyhun Bayramov gave detailed information to his counterpart about the new realities that emerged in the post-conflict period, the normalization process of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, restoration and construction works of liberated territories, as well as the difficulties and obstacles that Armenia made during the process.

During the meeting, mutual interests in the development of relations between the two countries were expressed.
