Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with the Minister of State of the United Kingdom for the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia and United Nations Lord Ahmad, Azerbaijani Ministry told APA.
Jeyhun Bayramov informed his counterpart in detail about the current situation in the region, the tension caused by the military provocations of the so-called regime created by Armenia in the Garabagh region of Azerbaijan, as well as the goals and results of the local anti-terrorist measures.
It was noted that no damage was done to civilians within the framework of anti-terrorist measures, and all necessary measures were taken in advance to ensure their safety.
It was stressed that the rights, freedom, and security of the Armenian residents living in Garabagh of Azerbaijan will be ensured in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the international human rights mechanisms it supports.
At the meeting, new directions of cooperation and other topics of mutual interest were exchanged.
