Recent attacks on the diplomatic buildings of Azerbaijan in other countries by the Armenian communities in this country are a cause of serious concern, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA.
These actions, which combine elements of vandalism and terrorism and are aimed at injuring diplomats and their property, are considered as criminal acts.
We strongly condemn the criminal actions of the radical Armenian groups and expect the institutions responsible for preventing such provocations in the respective countries to approach their duties responsibly.
The Azerbaijani side demands that the acts of vandalism committed by the radical Armenian forces be investigated by the law enforcement agencies of the relevant states and that the actions of those who committed these crimes to be given a legal assessment.
Recall that in accordance with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961, it is the special duty of the receiving state to protect the diplomatic mission from all kinds of attacks and damage and to take necessary measures to prevent the breach of peace or insult to the honor of the mission.
