Azerbaijani MFA: The current level of cooperation with Bulgaria is satisfactory

On June 6, 2022, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan hosted an event and exhibition on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Bulgaria, the Foreign Ministry told APA.

According to the information, the leadership of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, the leadership and staff of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in the Republic of Azerbaijan, members of the Milli Majlis, and other guests attended the event.

The event began with the national anthems of both countries.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov expressed satisfaction with the current level of relations and cooperation between the two countries. Noting the developing bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields, including economic, energy, information technology, security, tourism, agriculture, and transport, Deputy Minister Khalaf Khalafov said that our political relations are developing within international organizations. Describing the strategic relations between the two countries, Khalaf Khalafov noted that the two countries have friendly relations based on the basic principles of international law, including the inviolability of borders, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
