"The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Kyiv was not closed or evacuated from Ukraine at any time," the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Kyiv said, APA reports.

It was reported that inaccurate information is being spread about the evacuation of the embassy from Ukraine in a certain period of time: "Due to the risk of the fighting moving to the capital city of Kyiv, the embassy, as one of the latest diplomatic missions, was temporarily moved to the city of Lviv on March 8, 2022, and returned to Kyiv on April 28, 2022, and continued its activities. The consular service operates every day of the week from 24.02.2022 to 31.07.2022, and on official working days from 01.08.2022. The embassy warned Azerbaijani citizens about consular services: "Due to the reveal of the attempts to offer help to our citizens by outsiders in exchange for a financial interest in benefiting from the services of the consular department, we would like to warn that the consular reception is carried out only by an authorized employee and no outsiders have been authorized in this regard. The fees stipulated in Article 16 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on State Fees for the services that the consular department can provide under the current conditions are charged only by payment to the bank account (cash payments are not allowed). 16.1.2 of the above-mentioned Law from March 3, 2022, for the issuance of a return certificate that replaces the passport for citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan evacuated from Ukraine in accordance with the decision of the Government of Azerbaijan. are exempted from the fee in the amount of 10 US dollars provided for in paragraph (the document is issued free of charge). The embassy asks not to accept any offer of help from anyone in exchange for financial interest, and in case of such cases, to inform via e-mail address [email protected]."
