Jeyhun Bayramov, the foreign minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, met with Vivian Balakrishnan, the foreign minister of Singapore during the high-level week of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, Azerbaijani MFA told APA.
Jeyhun Bayramov expressed satisfaction with the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Singapore in the Non-Aligned Movement, as well as the support given to our country within the framework of many international organizations.
At the same time, the minister gave detailed information to the other side about the history of Armenia's aggression against our country, the post-conflict work carried out by our country after the 44-day war, as well as Armenia's latest provocations.
Minister of Singapore Vivian Balakrishnan pointed out that Singapore is interested in the development of cooperation with our country and that a number of Singaporean companies have invested in our country. It was noted that opportunities for the development of mutually beneficial business relations between our countries are being explored.
During the meeting, at the same time, the prospects of establishing an economic cooperation commission between Azerbaijan and Singapore, cooperation in the field of education, implementation of exchanges in the field of culture, as well as bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest were discussed.
