Brazilian MFA: "We received the news of the attack on the Azerbaijani embassy with worry"

The Brazilian government expressed concern over the news of an armed attack on the building of the Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran, resulting in the death of an employee of this mission, it was reflected in the statement of the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, APA reports.

"Brazil recalls the principle of inviolability of diplomatic missions and the importance of protecting their facilities within the framework of international law. The government of Brazil expresses its solidarity with the government and people of Azerbaijan, as well as with the family of the victim," the statement said.

Note that an armed attack took place at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Iran on January 27, 2023, at about 8:30 by Baku time. As a result of this vile attack, Orkhan Askerov, the head of the security service of the diplomatic mission, was killed while performing his official duties, and two employees of the Embassy were injured.
