British-Azerbaijani Interparliamentary Group expressed condolences to the family of Orkhan Askerov

The Great Britain-Azerbaijani Interparliamentary Relations Friendship Group issued a statement regarding the attack on the Azerbaijani Embassy in Iran, APA's London bureau reports.

The friendship group expressed its sadness and shock at the reports of the armed attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in Iran and the killing of an embassy employee.

The statement expressed condolences to the family of Orkhan Asgarov, who lost his life, and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

Note that an armed attack took place at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Iran on January 27, 2023, at about 8:30 by Baku time. As a result of this vile attack, Orkhan Askerov, the head of the security service of the diplomatic mission, was killed while performing his official duties, and two employees of the Embassy were injured.
