Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin has arrived in Azerbaijan on an official visit on 26 September, APA reports.
The prominent visitor was welcomed at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport by First Deputy Chair of the Milli Majlis Ali Huseynli, the leader of the Azerbaijan-Russia inter-parliamentary connexions working group Nizami Safarov, Azerbaijan’s ambassador to Moscow Polad Bulbuloglu, the Russian ambassador in Baku Mikhail Bocharnikov and other officials.

Chairman of the Russian State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin will pay an official visit to Azerbaijan today, APA reports.
V. Volodin will meet with the Speaker of the Parliament of Azerbaijan Sahiba Gafarova.
Earlier, in a telephone conversation with Gafarova, Volodin informed about his planned visit to Baku in mid-September.
The main purpose of the visit is to exchange views on all issues on the current agenda of Russian-Azerbaijani relations.
The Chairman of the State Duma last visited Azerbaijan on June 24-25, 2018.
In addition, on September 23, 2020, Volodin met with Gafarova in Moscow.
