The meeting with President Ilham Aliyev, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, French President Emmanuel Macron, and German Chancellor Olaf Scholtz was very good, said the President of the Council of the European Union, Charles Michel, in his press release after the meeting, APA reports.
"We had the opportunity to discuss all of the issues we raised in Brussels in May. We got the opportunity to talk about relations, security, border delimitation, and the peace treaty. This meeting served as an excellent warm-up for the upcoming summit in Brussels on July 21. This signifies that we are working hard and want to support all constructive initiatives to normalize relations. At the same time, it was announced that we intend to invite President Aliyev and Prime Minister Pashinyan, as well as Chancellor Scholtz and President Macro once again within the framework of the next European Political Union summit to be held in Spain. This means that the EU will do everything possible to assist normalize relations and achieve further progress," Michel said.
