"Council of Europe has no mandate to be involved in peace negotiation. But within our mandate, we will support any efforts to move toward peace agreements," said Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio, APA's bureau in Britain reports.
He has delivered a speech in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe within the framework of Italy's Chairmanship in the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.
Minister has noted that any idea of stability in the Caucasus has significant importance.
He has wished establishment of a peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan via negotiations and reminded that humanitarian gestures regarding the fate of missing people are a very important step for readiness for peace.
