Delegation of OIC IPHRC visited Imamzada religious complex in Azerbaijan

A delegation led by the Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC IPHRC) visited Imamzada religious complex as a part of its visit to Ganja city of Azerbaijan, APA reports.

Employees of the Office of the Ombudsman and the delegation of the OIC IPHRC visited Imamzada.

The guests got acquainted with the Imamzade religious complex. They were given detailed information about the complex.

At the invitation of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsperson) of Azerbaijan Sabina Aliyeva, the delegation led by the Chairman of the Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC IPHRC) Muhammad Lawal Sulaiman, visited the area of the city of Ganja destroyed as a result of the Armenian terrorism, APA reports.

The delegation visited Victory Park.

The members of the delegation of OIC IPHRC came to the areas destroyed as a result of the missile attack on the city of Ganja by the Armenian armed forces, got acquainted with the results of the war crimes committed against innocent civilians, and visited the residential area that was targeted by ballistic missiles during the 44-day Patriotic War. The guests were given detailed information about the massacre.

The main purpose of the delegation's visit is to study on the spot the facts of the destruction of religious and cultural monuments and cemeteries belonging to Azerbaijanis by Armenia, to collect information about the Azerbaijanis who suffered as a result of the occupation and missile attacks, and to prepare a report based on the results and submit it to the international community.

Note that the delegation which is on a visit to Azerbaijan visited Aghdam and Fuzuli districts, which were liberated from occupation yesterday.

At the invitation of the Ombudsperson of the Republic of Azerbaijan Sabina Aliyeva, the delegation led by the Chairman of the Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC IPHRC) is on a visit to the city of Ganja to conduct a fact-finding mission, APA reports.

At 10:00 a.m. the delegation will be in the areas damaged by the missile attacks of the Armenian armed forces in Ganja and will monitor the facilities there. Acquaintance with the reconstruction works carried out in those areas is planned. It is also scheduled to visit Victory Park, one of the areas hit by missile attacks, and to hold a meeting with the victims of Armenian terrorism.

The main purpose of the delegation's visit is to study on the spot the facts of the destruction of religious and cultural monuments and cemeteries belonging to Azerbaijanis by Armenia, to collect information about the Azerbaijanis who suffered as a result of the occupation and missile attacks, and to prepare a report based on the results and submit it to the international community. The delegation that will carry out the fact-finding mission includes Chairman of the OIC IPHRC Muhammad Lawal Sulaiman (Nigeria), the Deputy Chairman of the OIC IPHRC Haci Ali Açıkgül (Türkiye), the member of the OIC IPHRC Hilal bin Said al Shidhani (Oman), the executive director of the OIC IPHRC Secretariat Turki bin Abdulla Zaid Al-Mahmoud (Saudi Arabia), Director of the OIC IPHRC Secretariat, Javed Saqlain (Pakistan), and Ibrahima Saidou Kamara, an employee of the OIC IPHRC Secretariat (Guinea).
