The European Union welcomes the talks between the heads of foreign affairs of Azerbaijan and Armenia held in the United States, EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia Toivo Klaar wrote on Twitter, APA reports.
"Encouraging news from Washington. EU welcomes the sustained engagement from Armenian and Azerbaijani FMs in 4 days of negotiations. Progress can only be made through dialogue. We continue to stand with Armenia and Azerbaijan and work with our partners in quest for sustained peace," he said.
