Farid Shafiyev: Importance of the Non-Aligned Movement increased as a result of active activity of Azerbaijan -PHOTO

A conference called "From Bandung to Baku: The Non-Aligned Movement in a Complex and changing global context" is being held in Baku together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, the Center of Analysis of International Relations, and LINKS Europe," said Chairman of the Board of the Center of Analysis of International Relations Farid Shafiyev at the opening ceremony of the symposium, APA reports.

He noted that the period of Azerbaijan's chairmanship of the Non-Aligned Movement was very complicated.

"We see that the processes taking place in the world, wars and other similar situations create certain difficulties. In this context, Azerbaijan took upon itself a difficult mission in a very turbulent time of the world. The importance of the Non-Aligned Movement has increased significantly as a result of the active activity of Azerbaijan and the work done," he said.
