First Declaration adopted in the US on the occasion of Azerbaijan

An event dedicated to November 8-Victory Day was held at the Brooklyn Borough Hall of New York city, APA reports.

Representatives of the Brooklyn administrative region, diplomatic corps, local community, Turkish and Jewish communities, and diaspora activists operating in different states of the US attended the event held with the support of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, American-Azerbaijani Women's Society and Cultural Center of New York.

Munavvar Vahabova, President of the American-Azerbaijani Women's Society opened the event with an introductory speech and greeted the guests. The state anthems of Azerbaijan and the US were played, and the dear memory of our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was commemorated with respect.

At the end of the event, the Declaration was adopted on the occasion of Azerbaijan's Victory Day. Note that this is the first Declaration adopted in the US regarding Victory Day.
