Foreign NGO activists expressed support for the "World for Peace in the Caucasus" initiative-VIDEO

"I support the "World for Peace in the Caucasus" initiative. The message is clear and simple. Let peace prevail," said the Head of the Young Ambassadors Organization of Zimbabwe Abiel Mawere, APA reports.

"We don't want bloodshed in any conflict, we don't want to see an unresolved conflict. We call for a peaceful, diplomatic solution to any conflict. Those who are in favor of peace around the world should encourage other organizations to join the "World for Peace in the Caucasus" initiative," said Mawere.

Another representative of a foreign NGO participating in the campaign, Ali Sidibe, Chairman of the Board of Mali's "Youth Network Platform for Peace and Sustainable Development" organization, emphasized the importance of ensuring peace in the Caucasus region: "Peace must be built for the sake of prosperity. Today, more than ever, we need to raise our voices, both collectively and individually, for sustainable peace. That is why I am here today and express my full and unconditional support for the initiative "World for Peace in the Caucasus".

Note that a group of foreign NGOs and civil society representatives in 27 countries of the world have started an international campaign named World for Peace in the Caucasus. Although the campaign was announced recently, it has gained serious resonance and support and the number of civil society representatives joining the appeal from different countries of the world has already exceeded 500.

In the latest appeal released on behalf of the campaign, it is noted that the disinformation spread regarding the supposed closure of the Lachin road and the biased campaigns conducted in this direction undermines the peace-building process in the South Caucasus and deep concern is expressed about this.

In the appeal, Armenian residents living in the Garabagh region of Azerbaijan are recommended not to succumb to the provocations of Armenia and the remnants of the so-called regime, their political manipulations, and to open the Aghdam-Khankandi road for peace.
