Former President of Switzerland: UN is not a superpower anymore

Problems related to the divided world were discussed within the X Global Baku Forum, APA reports.

A panel entitled "Building stability in a divided world: Its impact on global peace" was held today in Baku under the organization of the Nizami Ganjavi

International Center within the framework of the 10th Global Baku Forum on "The World Today: Challenges and Hopes".

The former President of the Swiss Confederation, Michelin Calmy-Rey (2007-2011), said that the world is trying to return to the pre-crisis situation: “However, we are living in a new world era now. How can we establish peace regarding Ukraine? World order and international law among countries are very important. The war that occurred in Ukraine last year clearly shows us that the UN is not a superpower anymore, many alliances emerge. These processes are geopolitical.”
