Georgian ambassador expresses condolences over the deadly terrorist attack on Azerbaijani embassy in Iran

"We resolutely condemn the attack on Azerbaijan's diplomatic mission and express our support for Azerbaijani people in this hard time," said Georgian ambassador to Azerbaijan Zurab Pataradze, APA reports.

"On behalf of Georgian embassy in Azerbaijan, in connection with the killing of the employee of the embassy, as a result of the armed attack on Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran, we express our deepest condolences to family members and loved ones of the deceased, and wish recovery for those injured as a result of the attack," noted the diplomat.

Note that an armed attack took place at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Iran on January 27, 2023, at about 8:30 by Baku time. As a result of this vile attack, Orkhan Askerov, the head of the security service of the diplomatic mission, was killed while performing his official duties, and two employees of the Embassy were injured.
