Georgian MFA: Relations with Azerbaijan are an exemplary model of regional cooperation

“Azerbaijan declared its independence in Tbilisi, in 1918, and since then, Azerbaijan, as well as Georgia faced many difficulties in the strengthening and development of statehood,” said Georgia’s First Deputy FM Lasha Darsalia at the official reception on the Independence Day of Azerbaijan held in Tbilisi, APA’s Georgia bureau reports.

Lasha Darsalia noted that during these years, there were strong partnership relations between the two countries based on mutual trust, support and respect.

Georgian Deputy FM stressed that the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia is marked. Lasha Darsalia stated that the relations between the two countries are based on historical ties.”

“Our cooperation is an exemplary model of regional cooperation based on bilateral mutual benefit. Current difficult situation in the region makes our cooperation more important in terms of ensuring stability and prosperity of the region,” Darsalia stressed.
