Today, IX Global Baku Forum hosted a panel on "Globalization and Growing Inequalities", APA reports.

The was moderated by Francis O'Donnell, former UN Resident Coordinator in Ukraine (2004-2009).

Speaking at the panel, former Vice President of the World Bank (1999-2002) Mats Karlsson said that the United States is the most economically developed country, however, inequality in the United States is still on the agenda: "Africa also faces many challenges. African countries must move to the next stage. In the future, the population of Africa will exceed China and India. Therefore, we must focus on Africa. The support of countries is important for the effective functioning of institutions such as the World Trade Organization and the World Health Organization.

The Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov noted that it is acceptable to solve the problem of the income level of the population by increasing the stability of the economy.
