"Azerbaijani Turk has a special place in our life. We continue all our activities according to the concept of brotherhood. As Bakhtiyar Vahabzade said, we are two children of one mother, Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said during his speech at the "Victory of our Brotherhood" event dedicated to Victory Day in Ankara, APA's Istanbul correspondent reports.
He noted that the citizens of the two countries should never forget that we are one nation and two states, Turkey has always been and will continue to be with the brothers of Jan in their rightful struggle.
"Those who did not see that Armenia invaded the lands of our Azerbaijani brothers, that more than a million people were displaced from their lands, and that the Khojaly genocide was committed, appeared later. They, as well as the OSCE Minsk Group, did not raise their voices in the territory for 30 years. And now they are coming here in the framework of the European Union, in the name of monitoring the ceasefire. Thankfully, after 44 days of the war, the lands of Azerbaijan were liberated. "The Azerbaijani soldier showed the world that he has the power to liberate his land, the power of the Turk," he said.
