A seminar entitled "Confession and reconciliation: role of civil society dialogue on path of peace and justice" has been held today within the framework of the 51st session of the UN Human Rights Council, APA reports.

The event in the Office of the UN in Geneva has been organized by the Coalition "Khojaly: Confess for reconciliation".

Delivering a speech at the event as the main reporter, Chairwoman of the "Srebrenica Mothers" Public Union, well-known human rights defender Munira Subasic has touched upon the similarity between the Srebrenica massacre and Khojaly Genocide and noted regretfully that Armenian leadership has not yet accepted responsibility for the most mass slaughter during the Karabakh conflict. It is one of the main barriers to obtaining sustainable peace between the two nations during the post-conflict period: Saying "Reconciliation is possible without confidence, confidence can not be established without the establishment of the truth, Munira Subasichas called on Armenia to reckon with its past.
