The Azerbaijani state is ready to provide assistance to our compatriots affected by the quake in Khoy, however, Iran does not allow this, diplomatic sources told APA.

According to the information, the Azerbaijani state is ready to provide assistance to our compatriots affected by the quake in Khoy, and it has all resources. However, the Iranian state does not allow Azerbaijan to deliver this aid to our compatriots,

Note that on January 18 and 28 earthquakes occurred in Iran’s Khoy province, where the vast majority is inhabited by Azerbaijanis.

More than a thousand people have been injured, and 3 people died. Although a long time has passed since the natural disaster, the Iranian government does not provide any aid to our compatriots. Thousands of families spend the night outside in bitterly cold and snowy weather. The demand for tents, warm clothes, and food is not met, and mass diseases are spreading among people. There is a shortage of medical staff and medicines in hospitals. Hospitals refuse to admit patients due to a lack of space and medical staff.

Iranian media refuses to cover the problems of Khoy earthquake victims.

According to the statement of the Red Crescent Society of Türkiye, Iran also refused this country's offer of assistance.
