"We are successfully cooperating with Azerbaijan in various fields, including security, tourism, and energy," said Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen during the joint press conference after the meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov, APA's correspondent assigned to Israel reports.
"A large Jewish community lives in Azerbaijan. It is the largest Jewish community in the Muslim world and they actively participate at the life of country. The cooperation between two countries in the fields of education, culture, and sports is expanding."
The Minister stressed that 50 thousand of Jews visited Azerbaijan every year before the pandemic.
“We also hope to increase the number of tourists coming to our country from Azerbaijan.
Our economic cooperation is deepening. We have cooperation in agriculture, cyber technologies, food safety and there is potential to further it” he said.
