Assistance in settling the situation between Armenia and Azerbaijan can only be praised, the head of the Kremlin press service Dmitry Peskov said, Moscow correspondent of APA reports.

According to him, help to settle the situation between Baku and Yerevan can only be welcomed on the basis of tripartite agreements, because there is no alternative to them.

"The solution of the existing problems between the two countries and the possible development of some joint actions and steps aimed at reducing tension in the region is possible primarily on the basis of the tripartite documents signed together with Russia. There are currently no legal grounds to support the settlement. Accordingly, for now, these tripartite documents have no alternative. Of course, any assistance in settling this database would be praised, but we also know that there are various attempts to interrupt the basis of the regulation, which may not work in the future. Let's hope that, in this case, we are talking about the first one," Kremlin Spokesperson noted while commenting on the US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken's meeting with the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia.
