Lavrov: Peace agreement between Baku and Yerevan to be signed on the basis of Almaty Declaration

"The fact that parties agreed to base the peace agreement on the Almaty Declaration eases the final case," said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at the press conference on the results of the meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov in Moscow, APA's Moscow bureau reports.

Speaking about the current proposals for a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Lavrov noted that Russia had a proposal long ago to sign a peace agreement between Baku and Yerevan: "This proposal has been offered to the parties at the beginning of this year. The parties agreed in Prague to sign a peace agreement on the basis of the Almaty Agreement. The parties agree to this. This eases the solution of the task related to the peace agreement," said the Russian FM.
