Lavrov was surprised by the question of 'Japanese journalist' about Lachin road

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov was surprised by the question of the journalist representing Japanese publication, regarding Lachin corridor, at the press conference of the minister held on the results of 2022, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.

Toward the end of Lavrov's annual briefing, Russian Foreign Ministry official Maria Zakharova offered to present two last questions to the media of countries that are not friendly to her country. Japan’s “Ci-Ci press” was allowed to ask a question. Introducing herself “Japanese journalist” Meri Gevorkyan stated that she would ask question regarding Lachin road, as she was of Armenian origin.

Lavrov answered the question of the “Japanese journalist” about the Lachin corridor with irony, saying, “the most important question for Japan is the question concerning the Lachin road.”
