Lavrov: "We appreciate Azerbaijan's restrained and responsible attitude to the events around Ukraine"

"I shared our assessments and information with my Azerbaijani counterpart about the special military operation of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine," said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a joint press conference with his Azerbaijani counterpart, APA reports.

"We appreciate the restrained and responsible attitude of the Azerbaijani leadership to what happened," he said.

Lavrov said Russia was satisfied with the development path of diplomatic dialogue with Azerbaijan: “In general, we have a dialogue with Azerbaijan regarding the issues on the regional and international agenda, which include our cooperation with the UN and the OSCE. We are satisfied with the development of diplomatic dialogue with Azerbaijan, which contributes to the completion of bilateral economic, humanitarian, and other relations, and cooperation in the field of foreign policy.
