"Azerbaijan ensured its territorial integrity through war. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan wants the signing of peace treaty, but is afraid," said Matthew Bryza, the former US ambassador to Azerbaijan who joined via Zoom to the panel "Azerbaijan-Armenia conflict and Heydar Aliyev" within the framework of the international conference on "Priorities of the foreign policy of national leader Heydar Aliyev" organized by the Center for International Relations Analysis and the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, APA reports.

Matthew Bryza recalled what happened in the Armenian parliament in 1999: "Those who support Pashinyan also want peace. Those who do not support Pashinyan, and the opposition wants the opposite. However, Azerbaijan has forgotten the war, Karabakh is Azerbaijan."

Mathew Bryza considered the opening of the Zangazur corridor important: "However, it is not excluded that there will be those who will try to start another war and provocation in Armenia."
