On May 12, Dushanbe hosted a meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan within the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers, APA reports citing Foreign Ministry.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the situation in the region and the implementation of trilateral statements.

The sides exchanged views on the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, including the starting delimitation process of the state border, the opening of all transport and communication lines, and the conclusion of a peace agreement between the two countries.

The parties stressed the importance of implementing the agreements reached to ensure peace and security in the region.

A trilateral meeting of Azerbaijani, Russian and Armenian Foreign Ministers has kicked off in the capital of Tajikistan, Dushanbe, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharov shared a telegram post about the start of the trilateral meeting, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
