"Our countries have economic relations in a bilateral format," said Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov at a joint press conference with Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ilia Darchiashvili, APA reports.
Minister has noted that besides it, countries are partners in multilateral projects too: "We can assess Baku-Tbilisi-Kars, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum projects as the success of our relations. Baku-Tbilisi-Kars has a historical significance. The current situation further increases importance of the East-West Corridor. In this regard, if we speak about numerous works here, mutually beneficial cooperation between two countries has great importance for the successful development of such routes in 2021. From this point of view, we highly appreciate the significance of the agreement signed between Azerbaijan and Georgia on border checkpoints. The agreement will greatly contribute to improving issues in the fields of logistics, and transit," Minister added.
