“Kazakhstan has always shown that it is in favor of peace. Within the framework of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Kazakhstan became the center of food safety,” said Darkhan Kidirali, Minister of Information and Social Development of Kazakhstan, in the panel entitled "The Era of Megathreats: Climate Change, Food Safety, Nuclear Safety" within the X Global Baku Forum on "The World Today: Challenges and Hopes", APA reports.

He said that August 31 was accepted as the World Nuclear Safety Day by the initiative of the current President of Kazakhstan Kasim-Jomart Tokayev when he was the Minister of Foreign Affairs: “Kazakhstan has always shown it is in favor of peace. Within the framework of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. In the framework of cooperation, Kazakhstan became the center of food safety. Kazakhstan exports 7 mln. Tones of wheat every year. In the framework of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Kazakhstan is helping various countries.”

Reminding the quake in Turkiye, the minister noted that Kazakhstan helped brotherly Turkiye too: “It is the Caspian Sea that connects us. It is reported that the Caspian Sea will be drawn 9-30 meters in the coming years. Caspian littoral countries should try to eliminate this problem. On the other side, hybrid wars have become our mutual problem. Artificial intelligence will also be a threat in near future. Ethical issues should be raised. This forum is a good platform to look for ways out of such problems. The Non-Aligned Movement, chaired by Azerbaijan, is also bringing us closer to peace. I wish that today's Forum will bring us one step closer to the beautiful world,” the minister stated.
